We reached Norzin's apartment by about 10pm. She had prepared a delicious tapioca pudding together with a bought cake and roasted soba (buckwheat) tea. This was despite her working all day and being slightly unwell. We had told her not to bother and to rest up instead but she did not listen.

The final road toll for the trip ended up being about 6500 yen or just over AUD$70. I think that Aussies would have a fit if we had to pay that much for a 3 or 4 hour trip.

... I had bought yesterday in the wrong size for the new 60mm Olympus macro lens.

After that, we went to the other side of Kawasaki that we rarely venture into, to the Tokyu Hands Department store. It is much smaller than the one in Shinjuku. Joseph managed to buy a bottle of eau de cologne as he had forgotten to bring his from home. And not before time too. He was starting to pong a little.

We had to buy lunch at ...
