Hotel Ikar Poznan

With my cold, I am moving slowly but given the size of the Poznan, it is plenty fast enough. My first stop is to the Cathedral at Ostrow Tumski. The cathedral has been rebuilt but the highlight the tombs of the founders of Poland around 1000 AD. Next, the Art Museum which I like more than Wroclaw's. It is extensive.

... restaurant, Bovaria, makes an excellent Hefeweizen. Poznan would make a great place to chill for a few days. A week ago, I hadn't even heard of this town.

Yet again, I have the hostel room to myself (8 beds). Like so many (virtually all), the quality of workmanship of the hostel is very poor. It is set up like a home with tall ceilings. Nice. But attempts at making it into a hostel just don’t work well. Beds have slats ...

... with a fatty looking Giro and stale bread along the counter, my belly having a serious problem with the fatso`s long dirt stained fingernails...out here life is more intence, more serious in its foundations...

Life was very serious for that poor mouse that just mere kilometers behind me got swept into total oblivion by the razor sharp blades of a lucky bussart on the hunt.

There are buses from Pozna to Kornik - the journey takes about half an hour.

Nice place to eat, read and spend some time is a shopping mall in the town called 'Stary Browar' - walking distance from the Old Town.

... et rien n'a ete renove. Les train fonctionne encore te tout esl guguste pour remplir le train d'eau et de charbon. C'etait quand meme assez impressionnant de voir des chose d'n siecle encore en parfaite etat de marche mais sinon, c'est assez salle et huilleux !!
