With my cold, I am moving slowly but given the size of the Poznan, it is plenty fast enough. My first stop is to the Cathedral at Ostrow Tumski. The cathedral has been rebuilt but the highlight the tombs of the founders of Poland around 1000 AD. Next, the Art Museum which I like more than Wroclaw's. It is extensive.
For dinner, I go to a restaurant called Salt & Pepper. Very good food but when the bill comes, it is much higher than what ...
... restaurant, Bovaria, makes an excellent Hefeweizen. Poznan would make a great place to chill for a few days. A week ago, I hadn't even heard of this town.

Nice place to eat, read and spend some time is a shopping mall in the town called 'Stary Browar' - walking distance from the Old Town.

Poznań is a vibrant, alive city in west-central Poland located on the Warta River. Even thought Poznan is one of the oldest cities in Poland and wonderful as a historical center, it might surprise you with it's vibrant, young, college energy.
The Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul is the oldest Polish cathedral, founded in Poznań during the latter half of the 10th century. The son of ...
... pocket until I came home to Australia a week and a half into the future. When I told my hosts that they made a decision that I was not to pay for anything and that they would look after me like one of their best mates. They made me food, took me out, gave me their bed instead of the floor and showed me parts of the city. My hosts and all their mates met through their university course which is the study of English - never before have I been corrected on my English more than here ...
