Breakfast at a local cafe in Nice then enjoyed the beach until around mid day. Back in the car and a 40min drive along the coast to Monaco - wow, wow, wow! Extravagance on every level - the destination, couture stores, yatchs, cars, restaurants, bars & restaurants. It was HOT at around 35 degrees and after walking around (window) shopping for an hour or so we sat somewhere for seafood and salad. We had walked quiet a distance so opted to stay out of the ...

    Trip to Monaco

Monaco is only 15 mins from here by train, so after breakfast I went!! As a place, it's dripping with well-heeled, landed folk. Nice was a beautiful city, gorgeous to look at and clear water. Alex and I however are ready to move on to Spain. We wanted to see what the night life was like but couldn't really find anything to do. There were a lot of people but they all seemed to go nowhere. The city itself is quite dirty, every other step there is dog poo and we have even seen human ****. The beaches are rock beaches, rounded rocks but rocks none the less. ...

Four different trains in one day

... in Nice very close to the time they stop manning the reception.
We got on the next train and sat there for at least 20 minutes before it finally started to move. Great, first a cancellation, now a delay. Nothing we could do about it but sit back and enjoy the journey along some of the most beautiful coastline you could ever imagine. We went through Menton, Monte Carlo along with another 8 or so spectacular French towns that we couldn't ...
