    ... not a weed or a dead leaf. Strolling through them is a delight. From the gardens we can look down into the harbor with its complement of enormous 'Russian' yachts, including, we are told, the yacht of the 4th richest man in the world.

    Our 'annual meeting' concludes with a banquet, a few jokes, speeches and thanks plus hugs, 'we'll call if we're in...', and 'see you next year in Seattle'. It's been a good time and a fabulous ...

    ... de la Perfumerie. I was skeptical about this but we spent at least one hour and a half there. It told the history but had tubes you could smell the various smells (it confirmed Angela's love of Jasmine), a hot house of the plants that went into making perfume ( and their smells), perfume bottles from BC to today. The village Grasse was lovely, they had hoses over the Main Street that let out perfume vapor, there even a grassed ...

    Today we arrived in Monaco. The ship is docked next to the marina and the boats there are out of this world, these people have serious money! It looks like it's the trend to have a matt black one at the moment. At the back of the boats they have a door that opens kind of like a mini garage underneath and inside is a dingy or a jet ski. I suppose in some there could be a car but we didn't see any of those. I kept telling Eli, one day! After ...

    ... atop a very high promontory. After a quick lunch we climbed through the old villages narrow paths and up hundreds of steps, to the top which is some three hundred metres above the ocean. The truly spectacular spot. After more than a few photos, it was back to the car and home to Adam and Debs for dinner, and a musical production put on by Meg and Liam.....
