I woke this morning at 7:30 am with one of the worst hangovers of all time!!! The reason for which I will explain. Garry and I had had a lovely meal last night with Keith, Richard, Rachel, Lesley and Tony at the Earle restaurant in Hale. The food was really delicious and we had a fantastic spot in the restaurant's front window. It was so nice to be surrounded by some very dear and long standing friends and Tony insisted that Garry and I should have cocktails with it ...

As we walked the extremely slight rise, we past many struggling Americans ("like, why don't they have an escalator?!") and were also passed by the other Americans who couldn't walk and had to be shuttled up on the the golf cart. It was extremely gentle and I just couldn't believe how these sweaty puffing people who were in so much pain. Anyway we watched a quick film which was actually pretty rubbish ...

... Union Square, hatten wir doch schon Programm für den Nachmittag: BASEBALL!! Der Nationalsport der Amis ist ja bekanntlich nicht wirklich spannend (mein Grosi könnte da ja noch mitspielen), aber das Drumrum ist sehr unterhaltsam: Hot Dogs essen ein paar (TEURE, da nimmst du wirlich nur ein paar davon) Bierchen und zu guter Letzt noch im Fanshop shoppen gehen (T-shirts, Caps, GIANT Fan-Finger... )

By this stage Cari and I had both undergone a significant amount of wind burn and our hairstyles had provided enough amusement to passing cars (I now understand why most guys driving convertibles are bald!)...it was time to bid farewell to Sally! Justin Bieber hairstyle and wind burn aside, I wouldn't have wanted to travel along the West Coast any other way, and better yet, it's another thing I get to cross off my bucket list! Man this travel bug is biting me ...

-I think my bladder is evil. I get one coffee, and then I have to pee in 2 hours. However, that is not the cause of my grief. My problem is this: it seems like the more I have to pee, the thirstier I feel.
