... our room looks out to the Market Building and the Bay Bridge which is beautifully lit up. The Bay bridge is in two sections - divided by a tunnel through an island in the middle. It was badly damaged in the last earthquake and the eastern section had to be rebuilt - the old bit is still being demolished.

... just loneliness. It would take no longer than a day to feel the class divide here. I walked down the harbour side, towards Golden Gate Bridge. A ****** night sleep was had by all. When we finally got up, we headed down to the hotels little breakfast nook, which was adequate.
