      A short but likeable stay

We stayed at this Hotel room only 12 hours. We found it suited us very well for what we required of it. It had two large singles and it was very clean.
The swimming pool was used by our family and found very refreshing. The breakfast was continental and very basic. The staff were helpful when required and if visiting Nice again, would use it again.

      Hi all

Were up at 6.30am for a trip to Nice from Firenze (Florence). The weather was cloudy after a rainy night and very humid. Breakfast was scrabbled eggs and bacon along with some juices.

We left on our journey travelling through Tuscany and saw scores of kilometers of orchards, and potted trees. The trees are a major export …

... the area (Menton, France) in English, but we did have all the very good reviews in English to go on. The 'apartment' advertised on AirBnB had beautiful photos of the bedroom and bathroom and stunning Mediterranean views. On our way to the 'apartment' we stopped at the supermarket to stock up with groceries for the next 3 days meals. The 'apartment' was located 6km up a winding switch-back road, only wide enough for one vehicle, and on the way I commented to Ron that ...

... Palace (Place Du Palais Princier De Monaco) was breathtaking. We watched the change of guard which was quite a ceremony and walked around noting that there are a lot of accommodation units in front of the palace ( also lots of souvenir shops too ) When we were about to leave Prince Albert passed by us in a caval cade into the palace. So we got our glimpse of the prince!

... straight up!!! Steps everywhere. We grabbed a cab to bring us back & had the best cab driver: Young & spunky who was a great tour guide! Told us all about the area. Elton John had just left, Bono was in the area last week & Rolling Stones regular visitors . Bono "pure & simple" he said. "He comes on his boat & pops into town!!!" I said we called that " down to earth" . He liked that ...

... an Ironman! After working our way through the samples so graciously provided, we stocked up on some goodies and headed onto the Markets.

At the Markets in Old Nice you can buy fresh fish, meats, fresh breads, pizzas and patisseries, fresh flowers and fresh fruit & vegetables and OMG, they are amazing! We've been stocking up on sweet cherrys, strawberries and pineapples for breakfast but you can also buy blueberries, raspberries, ...
