          A short but likeable stay

We stayed at this Hotel room only 12 hours. We found it suited us very well for what we required of it. It had two large singles and it was very clean.
The swimming pool was used by our family and found very refreshing. The breakfast was continental and very basic. The staff were helpful when required and if visiting Nice again, would use it again.

Watching the pretty people on the French Riviera

... luggage storage is the major issue, followed by the need to negotiate three vicious metal steps on and off most trains. This is followed by the need to negotiate thirty odd stairs down to below ground level, followed by a walk through a tunnel and then another thirty odd stairs back up to a new platform. Disabled support is not on the European agenda. Anyway the trip around the French Riviera was quite beautiful .... Although the love of tunnels by ...

... to go out far to be out of your depth. The water was
beautiful though and only the tiniest little waves breaking on the stones. We
had a great time at the beach for a couple of hours and it was so nice to have
a swim after all our hot days!

After the beach we headed back to the hotel to change then
had lunch at a little restaurant across from the hotel. I had a beautifully
cooked Salmon fillet and salad. We ate with ...

          Ferry to Nice, France

... I guess I'll have to surprise me. This Corsica Ferries ship is a ferry that accommodates cars and semi-trucks on three floors. But the upper seven decks are very much like a modern cruise ship. There are hundreds of cabins fitted just like a cruise ship. There are escalators and elevators, numerous outlets for food and drink, a swimming pool and more. It was more plush than any ferry we have taken before. We had a very smooth sailing ...

It was a very Nice place!

... burgers and chips for lunch! The others weren't game enough to try snails or frogs legs but I wanted to!
Dinner that night was awesome although about 6 courses long, so to work it all off we headed to a the rock bar where we danced on tables to live band and were served by a VERY loud Englishman!

Nice was short and sweet but I think the right amount of time, not sure what else we could of done in the winter!

... For desert, I had Rum Baba which came with a selection of speciality Rums and Heidi had hot cherries in a kirsch syrup with a Mille-feuille and pistachio ice cream.

I had a coffee, which is unusual for me, but the wine waiter had saved me a little Rum from the Baba, a nice touch and very enjoyable.

Totally repleat we headed off to The American bar ...
