Arrived in Bangkok yesterday after flying overnight from Auckland (Air New Zealand (upgraded) to Hong Kong with a stopover then on the Bangkok (Thai Air). Taxi into the All Seasons Hotel, Huamark then relaxed for a while. Rang Supong to make an appointment for lunch on Tuesday and contacted Gok to have dinner that night with a few friends. Further …

A quick update on the hotel. It was OK! I wouldn't go back and stay! When you come out of the lift and walk to your room, all you see is dirty towels in the corridors. There is a strong lingering smell of smoke too!

The room was basic!! It was just an average hotel. Breakfast was satisfactory, though they do not cover any of the food and …

“The first condition of understanding a foreign country is to smell it.” - Rudyard Kipling

I can definitely smell Bangkok. Traveling through the city is almost as much a nasal experience as it is ocular. From the stench of sewage to the heady fragrance of flowers, the scents here run the gamut of olfactory sensations. Some of …

As a unexpierienced backpackers, we've decided to get an internetional hotel network, btw. the cheapest ever Ibis I've been to. Huge disadvantage, far away from the center, but aircon could be a useful thing, especially @ the begining of the trip. NB: Always take a location map from the hotel! Your taxi/tuk tuk driver will never know where is your …

Our diving adventures had come to an end, so we jumped on a ferry/bus combination to get us to the Thailand capital, Bangkok. It was a long, arduous and very tiresome day. Not much to report, just the same old, random cow in the medium strip, road side markets, bad roads, crazy drivers and a bus driver that thinks he is Michael Shumacher. I don't …

Very clean and central to Ramkamhaeng area where I meet with friends at the Kokkos Foundation and Glory Church. So it is very convenient for me. It costs about Bhat 1050, which is around NZ#42/night. Also close to the International and Domestic airports, about 300 Bhat to either.
It is close to a big mall with good shopping all around. I like it here, suits me

The room as basic!! It was just an average hotel. Breakfast was satisfactory, though they do not cover any of the food and we found hair in the Jam, which meant i didn't have breakfast for the rest of my time!

Staff are friendly! But when we were leaving, we rang the front desk at 1pm in order to have a taxi ready at 2pm. Ample time for them to get one! 2.15 no taxi and no call from the front desk. Rang them up and they said come down it'll be here! After waiting a further 10mins it arrived!! Thats really ANNOYED me because clearly they forgot to book one and only WHEN WE rang did they remember!

I didn't really like the vibe of the hotel!
