Ironically Aachen has been continuously inhabited sine the birth of Christ and Roman troops, around that time, used to recuperate here after battle and soak in the hot springs. Joining the weekend commuters, I climb onto a train Friday after work. Bags in hand, I can barely contain my excitement; I am bound for Maastricht in the Netherlands.
