Today we didn't do much. Had a leisurely start to the day and then went for a walk in the snow. It was a lot warmer today, only about -10 and lightly snowing.

A few times per week the hotel fires up the traditional “smoke sauna” for the guests. Today is one of those days, and so the guide arranges to serve drinks to those who want to experience a true Finnish sauna. Update - rest of the day was brilliant. Kids went tobogganing after lunch with their mates, and then a few families got together and built a snowman. I had brought a carrot from Helsinki to use as his nose, plus an old scarf, so he really looked the part.

... at the time), snow shoes on and over the lake the trip starts. About 10 kms away is a mountain called Pyhäkero, 711 meters high. Actually I meant the lower hill visible across the lake at first, but we'll see. If I have some energy left after climbing this then I can continue.

Only now I notice that toes and fingers are frozen from cold. The equipment goes into the car. Short second act is performed but through light clouds is not so powerful anymore. One and half hour show and coming here has already paid off.
Driving back, I see a green swirling ribbon above. The car stays in the middle of the road and I get some more frames.
