... if I cannot do it in safety.

After a long boring trip along this road I am finally into the town of Merano. I had set the satnav to avoid motorways and take me the more scenic route to my destination. However after fighting through the town traffic of Merano I soon changed those settings and right away headed for the motorway.

I was now heading South on the SS38 towards Bolzano where I would then take the SS12 motorway North.

... tip of a point in the middle of the lake; a city with roman ruins. Beautiful views but a touristy little lake we thought.

Then we drove over to Lake Como and spent two nights in Lezzena, located between Como and Bellagio. We had lovely, small rooms overlooking the lake. And oh, the lake -- it was beautiful, and magical. One day we took the ferry into Bellagio and joined with all the other tourists walking ...

A travel blog entry by rolandandlinda on Sep 18, 2014

Time to leave Valle Verde. Decided to give Austria
another try as we are hearing that the weather has improved. However, with low
cloud this morning, there is little point in going over the high Dolomite
      passes.

Decided to go north through Moena and then west over a lower
pass to Bolzano. As expected, the low cloud made for little viewing of the
      mountain peaks.

Went north to Bressanone but stayed on a ...

... valley. Not urgent – we have only just got
through the first gas bottle since leaving the UK.

We then went on to the ACSI site at Camping Valleverde,
at 1050m, arriving around 10am. Found a nice pitch and checked in. Really nice
place, with heated bathroom facilities and a nice restaurant. A regional card
is thrown in for 2 euros per night extra, offering free bus rides, chairlifts
      and 30hr ...
