      ... pet dogs enjoyed the sunshine and views. (Dogs do go everywhere with their humans here).

      The cogwheel train back to the valley ran a few minutes late - as had the one coming up. We had read that the Lauterbrunnen trains will wait for the cogwheel feeders and sure enough when we got to the station, the regular train was waiting. Maybe this was the greatest marvel of the day - a Swiss train running late!

      Interlaken, you were all kinds of epicness

      ... admire the natural beauty of the caves, with its gushing water and waterfalls through some sections and its still small lakes with stalactites and stalagmites through other sections.

      We again missed the bus back to Interlaken, however, again there are far worse places to be stuck waiting for a bus compared to overlooking the sparkling blue Lake Thun with huge limestone ridges hanging high above us in contrast to the blue sky.

      Our First Ski Trip

      ... place to ourselves. We had a great little patio overlooking the ski lifts and main slopes. The girls were able to walk right out of room to the yard and play in the snow. Not to mention we were able to sit outside enjoying wine and playing cards while they took their afternoon naps.

      The girls and myself took ski lessons first thing Saturday morning. This was the first time the girls were on skis ...

      ... mine and Jase’s predictions, we thanked the owner, got a tip for where we might catch the league final the following day and headed back to the camper, with fingers crossed the parking warden wouldn’t have noticed our ticket had expired.

      We arrived back to find Larz was fine-free, and with the evening closing in, we set off to find a nearby campground in the darkness – Winter really is approaching fast!

      ... were drunk enough to play a game of nails. I was playing this time! And I did not lose :) it was as though the more I drank, the better I got at the game.
