Then we set off for the Lauberhorn chair as this run was in glorious sunshine. In fat the only shadow in the run was caused by the Jungfrau mountain. We looped this run twice before heading back up to the top of the Lauberhorn chair and skiing to the top of the Wixi chair and taking the Wixi run to the blue into Wengen. We ended up skiing into Wengen on the freshly prepared runs and finishing on the slope ...

... place to ourselves. We had a great little patio overlooking the ski lifts and main slopes. The girls were able to walk right out of room to the yard and play in the snow. Not to mention we were able to sit outside enjoying wine and playing cards while they took their afternoon naps.

The girls and myself took ski lessons first thing Saturday morning. This was the first time the girls were on skis ...

... brakes wouldn't fail us. Once at the base of the hills again, there were more tunnels, and we drove through the St Gotthard Tunnel which is 17 k long, not a very interesting 17 k of our trip. But as we neared the Italian border, the temperature gauge rose and we couldn't believe how warm it was at a stop just before the border. At this stop we noticed the buildings had changed, and no longer looked typical Swiss but was more in keeping with how you would ...
