    ... were murdered. It is insane to see the torture chambers, and the living quarters (if that’s what you can call them) and the train boxcar people were carried on to their slaughter. I was shaken by the haunting photos of children tortured, woman and men starved. The photos line the walls of many of the rooms and are hauntingly painful to look at.

    ... This time we were assigned to a suite with a sitting area and separate bed room. We went for an hour hike when we arrived and then enjoyed a drink on the patio with a great view of the surrounding mountains and the valley. To night was a group dinner - a fantastic sauerkraut soup and a steak dinner followed by an hour long performance of songs and dance of the region performed by a local group. Had dinner here at the hotel, it's our last night in the Czech Republic as tomorrow night we'll be just over the border in Poland. Observation: have not seen any cigarette vending machines in the Czech Republic, they were everywhere in Germany, Austria & Hungary.
