      ... Returning to Amsterdam Ian thought he had better do the Heineken experience. He managed two and a half of the three free beers, while I headed off to the Bag and Purse Museum.       ... later on when we had a pub crawl to go to! Aster didn't want to go so I headed off with the others, armed with a white t-shirt and some marker pens. We went to 3 bars and along the way wrote messages on each other's shirts, it was super fun and a (kind of) nice souvenir although some messages were better than others haha mine weren't too bad.       ... to call out to people. I was surprised they were there during the day! Ok, enough about hooking for now. We also learned that, like Venice, the houses are supported by 12-foot pine beams that are put into the hard sand layer deep in the water. These work pretty well unless air gets in there or it split when being driven down. If either of those happened the house will start to sink.       ... and it turned out the lady from Bristol was a Vice Chairman of her local NAFAS flower arranging club and would be visiting Dublin for the WAFA show.

      This evenings entertainment was by a Virtuoso Flautist - Suzanne Godfrey. We had heard her practicing earlier in the day, the sound was beautiful then and during her performance which featured Mancini movies as part of her repertoire was quite spell binding.
      Tomorrow we are At Sea En route to Bergen.
