    ... much of a view, but it was a nice place to put down packs and start a fire. This is where we learned about the Hungarian traditions for the middle of the hike. Here you build a fire, and sharpen a few sticks. Once the fire is hot you break out the kolbász (sausage) and cook it over the fire. Drippings are caught on bread, then you eat it all together with onions, while drinking the middle beer.

    ... but similar town - here we had a wine with the locals before catching the ferry across to carry on the trail.     Today was my first drive in Europe, where driving a car over here is all backward. After we woke and went for a last walk and shop for supplies, we headed off. It is such a strange feeling, it really is. I think I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Left hand turns are the worst as are roundabouts.     ... 8221; guards at presidential building (which now appears to be occupied solely by a cute cat rolling around in the sunshine) and to the statue of Hussar general Andras Hadik, whose horse’s testicles have long been rubbed as a good luck charm and bedroom booster for local university students (let me reaffirm that this is a statue of a horse, not a real horse with polished yellow balls).

    ... has a lot to answer for.

    I had Strapachka, a wonderful cheesy, yogurty, dumpling side dish and Christine has become addicted to Hungarian Goulash Beef soup, and either of them, despite being a starter and a side order, would have provided a good meal for two. We ended up taking home a doggy bag and eating it again the next day, it was so delicious!

    Go there soon before they knock over a candle and burn the place down.
