After a lazy morning, we had lunch in Balk at a little fish shop by the river.

This little harbour on Friesland has been the destination of our family for many a trip. Papa used to sail from here on his friend's yacht. So we often came to visit, when they were getting ready to leave or when they had just returned.

We had a little walk (you could circumnavigate the place in 30 min.) and took lots of pictures.
We knew the village from when we were children. We have been here many times.
But this house we are staying in, is on a new estate. Well it is 20 years old maybe. And we are enjoying the modern facilities.
Must to a picture tour through the house. But since Stan fell through his bed and now has mine, I am awake and up too early.
