Haven't have wifi for a day or so. Checking in now. We are loving this trip! Meeting a lot of amazing people, too! Trip highlights: Sunday, 4/28: Toured the biggie castles of King Ludwig. Fairytales! Met some new friends from Pittsburg. Lots of walking! Lots and lots and lots of walking. And stairs; they're everywhere! The castles were amazing. …
... more bratwurst for lunch. By lunch the weather cleared and reached 23 degrees. We soaked in some sun, the trees and the scenery. It was just beautiful.
We then travelled to Heidelberg and had some time to look around. Again Heidelberg is beautiful. We were introduced to the snowball (Schneeballen), a traditional cake ...

Simon and I weren't exactly sure what to do on Friday, so we asked for suggestions. Winfried came up with the Technoseum in Mannheim - a technology museum. It was rated Number 2 on Tripadvisor and was half the price of Sinsheim or Speyer so we thought why not. I've had better rooms and service in a hostel. The front desk clerk was rude and not helpful. Our room still had the previous guests bathroom stuff in it (forgotten hairspray and gel), and our towels were askew. Our room was directly on the freeway and it was loud all night. Our room also smelled of smoke, even though we had smoke free. When we checked out the front desk attendant charged me more for parking than the previous attendant had told me. Overall experience was very poor.
