My running friends on the Gold Coast can probably sing a song about this, as I read ,they were doing the 500 km Endeavour run at temperature of up to 47 degree, and, I am sure, sill be happy at the end!

... ride to the Miyajima island where the iconic red Torii gate is situated. I am sure you have seen pictures of it. Owen wanted us to get there at sunset so that we get the classic photo of the setting sun glistening on the water- which we did. See photos. Lots of other tourists we all had to walk about 700m from the ferry to the viewing point, we walked beside a little stretch of sand. Every 3-4 metres or so there was ...

Don't take your eyes off the volcano

... 1 hour small loop taking in a good viewing point for the volcano but standing in the line and watching them cram people onto this bus like sardines makes us rethink, plus talking to other people waiting in line who are doing the 2 hour full island loop, we are convinced that this will be a much more comfortable way to go. The bus arrives and it's only about 3/4 full so that's excellent, well worth the extra cost because we have a seat and we will not end up squashed and ...
