... contains paintings by Caravaggio - the fancy shopping streets which were not very backpacker friendly but did house the offices and factory of my hero Velentino!! Overlooking the whole Tridente area is a lovely park called Trinita dei Monti where I ate lunch and took in the sights and sounds of this marvellous city - pity I was interrupted by the horrible selfie stick and flower sellers. She got the hang of it pretty well and pretty soon she was flying down the hills! (literally, she couldn't always slow down) We had a really fun day though and only had issues with our skis once! There was snow or something packed into my boot or ski and I'm not kidding ...

26.10.14 Left Schwangau today and drove through Austria with snow all around us and to the Waldheim Hotel in the Valle Di Casies in the heart of the Dolomites. There is snow all around us but the roads are clear. It is a really picturesque area, not much to do except admire the scenery.
