We actually never made it to Passau, Germany. The ship stopped in Aschach, Austria for us to get on the bus for our trip to Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic. Passau's magnificent baroque St Stephen's Cathedral located on the highest point in old town. It was nearly destroyed by fire in 1662 when fire swept through the town. It was rebuilt and since 1928 has been home to the largest cathedral organ in the world. It has 17,974 organ pipes, 233 stops and four carillons. All five parts of the organ can be played at once or separately from the main keyboard.

We're going to do a total boat swap today with the Viking Var.
Next port on the original itinerary is Passau, Germany. However, the Danube in Passau is too shallow (by a few inches) for our boat to sail past so we are docked in Linz (Austrian side of impasse).
