... with bacon and wild mushrooms. The mushrooms are a local treat that I have been meaning to have on other trips. They are tiny golden ones but to my mind not a lot of flavour. One of my favorite jobs was cobbing the straw house. They have a house here that is made of straw bales. In the inside they framed it like a house, and the outside we made a mixture of two parts sand to one part clay, and we smeared it in the straw bales. ... back was a bit more adventurous as we hitchhiked back. We got three great rides from three really great people. Our last ride was a guy with his younger sister, his last name was also Vanderpyl (Rachel's last name) which was kind of cool. ... Enschede town centre; a very busy and pleasant place; even the Navigator managed to buy 2 bikinis! Even managed to persuade her to get into the heated pool on the site. However, it wasn't heated enough for liking so the experience was short lived...hey ho!
