... was not up to scratch missing the only café on route for ages so we ended up stopping in a supermarket car park eating some very nice Austrian Sandwiches (which Allegra hated and actually spat out). Paul dropped some of his on the floor as well which he didn't cope with very well and sat on the steps of Sven in despair (I think it was the straw that broke the camels back). He did however pick it up and eat it anyway.

... is something so relaxed about Austrians and their nature perhaps its the surroundings which are all spectacular wherever you look. Don't get me wrong the fiery Italian nature was also good fun but its nice to move to a slower paced area as I feel like we did a lot of crazy fully packed days in Italy, lots of driving, lots of cities, lots of people so Austria is very calming for us. Then spent the afternoon cruising down the Danube through the Wachau valley where we sailed past castles and medieval towns, drinking local wine. I was in heaven!!
