We got off the 4 people cable car and entered a large one, called a gondola, which allowed the group to go up the side of the mountain together. Mt Pilatus towers over the Lucerne end of the lake. The ride lasted about an hour we sat back relaxed, enjoyed and took a thousand more photos even though I don't think the camera can do justice to this most beautiful part of the world. Only two more sleeps till this fantastic trip comes to an end.

They all were gathered on the walk right next to ...

We're staying at this B&B in Lucerne, at most a 10 minute walk to Luzern Bahnhof.

Did I mention the place is above a local operating brewery... yes, operating.

Handy with the train station so close. That`s the main Luzern transit centre for trains and buses.

Plus there`s quite a few stores there and groceries (large one called Coop and smaller convenience ones) and these places stay open later than the rest of the city ones (those shut down about 6 pm usually and ...

... that detailed maps are the backbone of any country. Only by storing a correct record of land ownership law and order can be ensured. Land owners tend to be protective of their assets and will defend their property. Thus a geometer is an important person in a budding nation.

These days crowd sourcing seems to have come of age. Google introduced the Map Maker already in 2008. ...
