... the same but instead the pod took us over the route of the funicular. It launched us off and then straight down. Scott used a couple of expletives while the girls thought they were on a roller coaster! Over the valley were some hang gliders and these landed in the paddocks half way back to Lucerne. Left the camp, in pouring rain again!! Crossed the bridge and we were back in Switzerland again. We picked up two great looking cinnamon rolls and a Coke ...

... do a guided walk around to the solemn Lion Monument, commemorating the massacre of Swiss Guards in 1792, & then we cross the 14th century Chapel Bridge. Some of the group now do a Lake Cruise, but as we have done this a month ago, we go to our hotel & settle in.

We have another group 3 course meal in the hotel, but tomorrow we have to pay our own way. After our meal, we go out on the front balcony adjacent to the bar, for a nightcap before ...

City Night Train Zurich to Praha

A travel blog entry by gravittkiki on Jun 22, 2013

I thought the night train would be a good idea. Not sure if it was the best but it worked. When the train ride first started it was me and one other person in the 6 bed compartment. He spoke no English and what he was saying made me a little uncomfortable. I was probably just being paranoid though as so many people have had some strong reactions to me traveling abroad alone for a year. Honestly the guy was just a kid and harmless. I did think though at the ...
