We had finally arrived!<br><br>Despite having visited the country before India still hit me like a blow to the chest. This country is like no other country I've ever been to before. Every day is an adventure and you never know what is around the corner!<br><br>We've been having a great time....but I really forgot quite how crazy India is...I mean it is really full on ...

... my book reading. I set my alarm for the next day. I wanted to get up early and go to the Thai Consulate and get a visa sorted out for myself. Emil had told me that they were able to get a 60-day one free of charge...but that it had taken them one full day to get it. I didn't have a full day. My flight would be leaving at 2 AM on Tuesday. ... to Port Blair we had vowed not to return to Calcutta unless we really had to. As the taxi rattled along in the pre-dawn to take us to our 05:30am flight we passed through an area of acrid smog coming from several unidentified factories. This poisonous gas seeped in through the windows and had the effect of making Michelle turn green and throw up as soon as she got out of the taxi.<br><br>Two hours after takeoff we were in the Andaman Islands and the contrast was little short of incredible. <br>
