... campus (where I'll be studying in July/August) and I found out that both schools were founded by Christian missionaries. Then we took the subway to Hongdae, an awesome area around Hongik University with tons of stores, clubs, and restaurants. For lunch, we ate at a restaurant where you cook your own meat on these grills on the table. The Axe murder sight is another example of the ridiculousness of the quarrel between the two Koreas. There was a very large tree that impeded the sightlines between two of the Southern viewpoints and they wanted to trim it in order to increase the visibility. Canada Day is one of my favourite holidays during the year. It always symbolizes the start of summer for me. This year I was sad to miss celebrating in Canada, but I think I managed to pull off an appropriate multicultural version in Korea.
