... food really quite edible and bags arrived unscathed. Can't ask much more than that!

Arrived at Casa Calma Hotel at 6am. Avery small boutique hotel that is enviromentaly friendly. Easy to spot in the street as the whole hotel is covered with a hanging garden!

So excited to visit Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Hong Kong ... especially for the food! Even though Cathay Pacific changed us from a flight out of Newark to one out of JFK, we still couldn't wait to get on the plane -- 2 hours to JFK, 16 to Hong Kong, 3+ hr layover, then 4 more to Singapore. ... I need to set all my concerns and worries aside and make the most of this new adventure.

For anyone who doesn't know, I decided to volunteer in Perth, Australia for 2 months. I will be teaching english to child refugees who were relocated to Australia by the UN. After that, I'm going to travel a bit on my own and then with my sister to see Sydney, Bali, and Thailand. I'll be home on May 10th and I can't wait to see everyone when I get back:)

The next day we started off at a diner, which are a dime a dozen in the state of Pennsylvania, where I ...

... anything either of us have ever seen. We drove through one place where the water was over my feet, talk about eerie. Law enforcement had roads closed with red flares or blockades and we had to get detoured, thank goodness for Fadie Bell because she created new routes for us everytime and brought us out of unknown places.

The rain ruined one of our ...
