Acclimatisation
... like giant mallets. We ate in a Belgian cafe and bought water in a small supermarket, perhaps tomorrow we will be more adventurous, before returning exhausted to our hotel. India...a little of Mumbai and a whole lotta Goa!
... The train station alone was stunning, an impressive Victorian building and actually a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We walk over to the Gateway of India - a monument overlooking the Arabian Sea….it was so imposing and impressive. Local crowds and Indian tourists surround it, people selling everything under the sun! You could not only weight yourself on scales for 2p, you could buy homemade ice lolly pops, war memorabilia, scrap metal, groceries, even get a picture taken ...
Goodbai
... Intermission in a two-hour movie. Talk about pulling one out of the moment and making the suspension of belief virtually impossible. As for the movie, it was well done and pretty true to the book. I was surprised, though, at how many kids under 10 were there. I also wonder if the violence had been edited down for this country, which censors movies pretty rediculously.
