We have been preparing for our trip since we decided to go in March. This week we finalized all the accommodation reservations. I ordered a new purse: the thing came in yesterday and is astonishingly tiny! So cute! And it will leave my hands free to carry shopping bags.
Things at work are winding down after a frantic couple of months, so I am starting to actually think about where ...
... Then after telling us about how to dentist's office shredded his records because it'd been so long since he'd been there, he asks:
"What if I get Alzheimer's, wander off into the woods, die and decay somewhere, how they gonna identify me?"
But this problem is soon resolved after he realizes that he could very easily be identified by the name on his belt buckle.
Fried okra is really good! We're gonna have to grow some okra ...
... calls Alexx who is off work now so we go to her apartment. It's in a building that used to be government housing, so it's the projects! We hang out for a little while and then go to our next apartment appointment. ... re going to see the Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark - "currently the only twentieth-century blast furnace in the U.S. being preserved and interpreted as an historic industrial site." It's been an amazing time! We've learned a lot, seen a lot, driven a lot. Thank you, God, for this vacation!
