Party Time!

Spent another night on a parking lot near the city centre. When trying to find a decent place to park our van near all the sights, we got caught up in a lybyrinth of narrow streets, filled with cars (sometimes even in the middle of the crossings...). Well, Boštjan is a very good driver, but my nerves are not as good as I thought.

With the help of a security guard at a bank in one of the ...

I had a Mary Moment

... basement is huge, feeling like a cellar in a castle. A number of excursions can be booked from the hostel, and it seems like they also put on a number of activities. But given that it's the peak tourist season, and it's completely dead ... I can't imagine it lasting too long. I think part of the problem is that there isn't much going on in Zaragoza, though it appears that there are numerous adventure-type day trips that can be done nearby.
<br ...

FRYING EGGS ON THE SIDEWALK IN Zaragoza, Spain

... sign on the bridge says 15.23 and 33 degrees, yes, it is very hot. We walk past some Roman shop ruins and their great sewage system. There is a statue of Caesar Augustus with stone arched walls behind him. Some of the brick work here is the influence of the Muslim era.

The Basilica de Nuestra Sra. Del Pilar is really beautiful outside, with statues along the top, colourful tiles on the roof and about ...

Boring long day on the A23, highest col 1223m.

Looking for aire in Zaragoza when Brits James, Clare and Katie in their motorhome took us under their wing to the park they'd already stayed in. Our Travels so Far

... Spain - Barcelona, Zaragoza, Madrid then going to Porto in Portugal which doesn't officially have a border crossing you just have a police man come onto the bus and check passports or ID cards if EU Resident, next making our way to the Capital city Lisbon then down to coast to Lagos which was one of the best hostels we stayed at, only 10euros per person/per night and because been the quiet season we had a room to our selves in the morning you have a Portuguese mamma cook you ...

It all begins here in Mañaland

... home a fat wage, in a well respected job and still in contact with, i suppose, everyone else from science club or whatever (cant really see the rest of the "incrowd" thinking about the good old days that thay shagged some tart on field or nicked some glue to sniff from the corner shop as they put frozen food in box) but as i always say i this is only my experience and opion... So leaving people with whom you have had such great times, of whom you can really say are friends ...

Onward we go

... years old built of dry fit stone and stil standing: From Zaragoza we travelled ,ore easterly toward Lleida Catalan. Amongst the ochre coloured rocks and mist blue with mountain ranges were immense wind farms. Turbines and tozers several hundreds of feet high. Onward our lovely 1 litre Fiat Punta purred toward LLieda.

Pillars and Pubs

... New World). Anyway I went inside and wandered around, it was a truly magnificent cathedral, well, from what I know of cathedrals anyway, and that's not a great deal. I felt the neon lights saying "Silencio" were slightly out of place personally, but still. Only a small portion of the pillar is visible, as it is encased in marble. A queue of elderly Spanish people moved towards the visible section one at a time, each kissing their hand before placing it on ...

La Posada y las Almas

... calles u hoteles.

A nice place..

... can think of is that Kelly and I slept in a room that was hotter than the fire of Hades. We would wake of five or six times a night just to go down the hall and wet down our heads and tee shirts, then lay in front of the fan so we could sleep. They don´t seem to be huge proponets of AC here in Spain, which baffles me somewhat, as it´s a million degrees in most places. We´ve been buying food in ...
