Left home heading for the 10.50 Eurotunnel, arrived slightly late. As normal I used the Flexiplus lane at the tunnel, it's for people who pay a lot more for the flexibility of arriving anytime you like and getting on the first tain available. ... the attraction. The town has about 3 churches , one totally renovated inside but old on the outside .just like me .

The town square was full of people eating and drinking . So it would have been rude not to do the same . Wine was served in karaff depending on how much you wanted . So 1/4 l for me .decent size glass !

It it has a beautiful river running ...

I guess the theme to all these posts is beer, but come on. We are in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium after all. As you can tell we drank some great Belgian beer and had some great chocolate. Tongeren was also interesting because it is one of the oldest towns in Belgium, so it had a lot of cool old buildings and crumbling cobblestone ...

... did was a trip out to some World War II caves. Apparently families hid in them and used them to cross the border (Germany and Belgium are only 20 minutes away). The city also had a beautiful old square, and we also stayed in a great bed and breakfast, which was basically on the 2nd floor of someones ...
