... pretty great. We also tried a heidelbeer (like a bluberry) dampnudelen, which is a large bun looking thing with berry filling and warm vanilla sauce poured over it. We had these the last time at a Christmas market some years back, but these were not as good as the ones we remembered. Not to worry. We will find good ones in our future quests. ... as anti-tank barricades that were erected by the German Wehrmacht. After about 2 hours we found Monschau nestled at the top end of the Eifel ranges and walked through the narrow cobbled streets enjoying the architecture from the 11th century.

Left for belgium this morning. Just entered the french speaking country and I read about some caves in liege, belgium that I will try to find. And then onto brussels.. an intereting thing in europe is all the public bathrooms cost money to use... here are some pictures of the roads. ... evening. We ended up being stranded in a town in the middle of Nowhere, Germany and ended up staying the night in an odd little inn. We got up early the next morning to catch a 6:30am train and were back on our way. After a full 24 hours of traveling, we finally reached our hostel and were able to check in to our rooms at long last. It was a total fluke of a stop and although we never intended to, we added a pin in our map somewhere in northern Germany.
