... go to JFK airport with the metro and the air train, instead of catching an "airport flyer" bus at Port Authority. If one has time it is perfect. A little more than one hour and I was at the airport!
Check in, baggage drop, security... and sitting at the gate with a good book. Flight. Short, a little more than six hours! Brussels in the sun, train to the Midi station where my sister came to pick me up. Here I am now, fighting against my jet lag! ...

... we were soon busily making our own designer chocolate blocks, medallions and truffles! What chocolate remained was quickly piped down the gullets of the baby birds clambering and squawking for more! We finally extracted the kids, laden with chocolate, and went off in search of a much needed Belgium beer or three! Finally we got home in time to ready ourselves to go out for an authentic Belgium meal in nearby Leuven....un jour ...

The hotel (Prestige, 55Euro for 2 nights each, very good deal!) we stayed was quite close to the Bontanic Garden. I supposed the population of Turkish ppl was quite high here as it was run by Turkish. Same as my hostel in Istanbul - very clean and not quiet, and the Turkish buffet breakfast was included. It was around 10:30am when we were walking around the garden, I only saw a couple of ppl walking through it. ...
