... 3 more days! Beer consumption last year by the 6.4 million partygoers was 74,025 hectoliters (almost 2 million gallons). We "snuck" into the fairgrounds and took some photos of the beautiful beer halls, empty at this point, but soon to be filled to capacity! Drove from Salzburg to Munich. Stopped at Prien to visit King Ludwig 11 palace Caught ferry to island and joined the English tour of the palace 20 rooms completed before building was stopped. Built to honour Louis the 14th and a copy of Versailles Extraordinary building hall of mirrors, mirrors used to create an illusion of distance. We continued in to Munich.
