After a long and tiring journey we arrived at our campsite. Weather is lovely so went for an uphill walk in the evening. Just enjoying a beer in the bar now. Day by the pool tomorrow me thinks. Did a little reading by the van after breakfast and then dozed off. After lunch went and had a dip in the pool. After some much needed sunbathing we decided to have a game of tennis - Sue cheated of course! Sat in the shade now with cool beer ...

... and eat, a real problem for us northerners, we are just to used to eat early. By the time we really ate it was 10... Lucky we had a few tapa's before. Anyway the company was real nice and the conversations interesting, that was the most important thing ! Later in the evening they asked me to sing and play guitar and it was obvious that this had been planned ! ... that day went up to a volcano lake called Lake Pavin. The roads were twisty and windy and mum wouldn't have liked it! We walked up steep stairs all around the village , found old ruins and a church , a market the day we left. Weather was fine but still a little cold . We then travelled on to Valliguiere .

... for Volvic waters. Booked in and set up the temperature read 30.5c I was melting, we made for the pool complex and spent the rest of the afternoon in and out of the water. Looking at the menu in the camp restaurant we decided to be lazy and eat in there, so a quick run out to fuel the motors, change and seated for 1900hrs, good stuff. The first one we encountered ‘La Source des Celestins’ was just off of a side street and was open to the public free of charge to go as often as they like to ‘take the waters’ from the taps inside the building. We had a taste ourselves and it was absolutely awful, especially as it was 21.5 degrees lol!!!! It tastes like alka seltzer and was not something we would like to drink a lot of.
