    We had a truly magical day, going up to Rigi, the Queen of the Mountains. I don't really have enough words to describe what we saw today, except it was all we had expected Switzerland to be.

    We took the 10 o'clock train from Basel to Lucerne, (first class), and saw our ferry leaving just as we arrived at the dock. As we then had an hour to spare, we did a quick, even by our standards, foot tour of Lucerne. What a beautiful city! The sun was ...
