... Those who recall OHMSS, with George Lazenby as James Bond will recognise the Schiltorn as "Piz Gloria" as this is where the Alpine scenes where filmed. Spectacular! From the village, you have a clear view of the Eiger, the Munch, and the Jungfrau just peeps over them. Fantastic mountain scenery, and we were blessed with a wonderful clear day to enjoy it. The cable car ride down was fun, partly because ...

... the Hasenhorn Rodelbahn which somehow hadn't come up in any of my other searches.

It looked pretty awesome - its basically a chair lift which takes 5 minutes to go up the top of a mountain. Once at the top you get on a rollercoaster. the longest in Europe apparently, and gravity takes you to the bottom. You have your own carriage and breaks so you control your speed, there are 360 turns and lots of windy corners. Every ...

... with luggage!! After many traffic diversions we finally arrived with a $70 taxi charge!! Very funny trip with lots of "oo la la's" from the driver!! We were welcomed by all the crew before a welcome drink and then shown to our rooms. We unpacked and toured the boat to familiarise ourselves with important things like the dining room and gym (ummm I think they contradict ...
