... This hotel is much larger and more typical to the U.S. than our previous hotels. We just dropped off our bags and went for another two hour drive to Lasithiti Plateau. Lasithiti Plateau is located inland and at a much higher elevation than Heraklion and is a series of twenty tiny villages. Some of the buildings in the villages still have no roofs from bombings in the World War Two invasion of Crete. The villages are known ...

Last night we had some fun swimming in the pool - Kelly tried to teach chris to float without much success. Over our time on Crete we've met a bunch of people from the Netherlands. After a slightly earlier get up (1.30pm) and another clean up of the apartment Katie, Nicola and I went and had a look round the old Malia. Saw some traditional Greek architecture and eyed up some restaurants for the last night. On our return katie and Jemma prepared a stir fry whilst Nicola and I went for a swim. We are now about to have a pre-party ...

    Snorkeling and a hike

... beach and then hiked home for lunch. We had a great time but all of the swimming really wore me out and I fell asleep on the car ride home. Now I'm off to shower all of the salt off of myself and maybe play some pool with chris and Kelly before dinner. We're having a great time and Crete has been one of our favorite places. Tomorrow we'll be leaving and we're all sad to ...
