... at Zell am See. We decided to spend up large (€34) and drive the Grossglockner alpine pass. This consists of a climb to 2,504m (we did the side road to 2,571m – poor Van-essa!) with endless hairpins, however the views are spectacular and we were very glad we waited the day in Zell am See for the weather to clear.

Our maiden voyage to Hungary a year earlier had been a great success and it was then that we met Goulash for the first time, our 3 legged cat. Sonia and David have 2 similar side by side properties nestled in the Somogy County countryside. There are very few English speakers here, so if you need to borrow some milk from a neighbour it has to be done in Hungarian, which incidentally is one of the most difficult languages to learn.
