... When they caught up this time we had a chat. Lovely young girls who started their ride this morning near Siofok and are circumnavigating the lake in 2 days. They are in training for triathlons. They were very interested in our journey and our impressions of Slovakia, especially Bratislava as I said that I really enjoyed our visit there.

The embassy is in a house with a lovely position in a narrowstreet, on a hilltop behind the Buda Castle. NO PARKING outside. I went in and "took my chance" whilst Dave tried to find parking. The plan for the afternoon was to visit the thermal lake at Heviz (Hévízi-tó Természetvédelmi terület) just to the northwest of the western end of Lake Balaton. Of course the guide book said that lake admissions closed at 5pm, so the leisurely drive across the northern side of the lake soon became more of a race to make it the thermal lake with enough time to enjoy it before it closed of the day.
