    ... begin with) as Maxime took me into his arms. It felt so good to be back with him, and he even had a surprise for me when we arrived back at the apartment; it was clean!!! He had actually done all the dishes and tidied up.  It was an amazing welcome home.  He then cooked me dinner while I showered and we enjoyed a few hours together, rather than going to bed right away. All in all, an amazing trip.  I hope to see you again soon Norway!!!         ...

    ... and a house version of patyourarm for tea or coffee. Off to sleep now to dream of all those mountain tomorrow... The Pyrenees are magnificent so every second the scenery is spectacular...this is what makes the whole walk worthwhile... Wish us luck for tomorrow and will keep you posted about tomorrow. Dinner, bed and breakfast in a twin room with bathroom but no sheets ( had to get out the orange slug) for 43 Eros per person...not bad don't you ...

    ... our hotel - another 12km or so. Now we were getting cranky! As a group, we set off but quickly got lost and stopped at one of the beaches to ask directions. Tom took the time to take of his shoes and go for a swim! Finally, Florian who was driving one of the support vehicles found us and lead us to the hotel.

    That night, we celebrated at a beach front restaurant to the sound of thunder and lightning and pouring rain. Hadn’t we been lucky with the weather!

    ... km across Spain is probably a crazy idea. Each to their own, I guess.

    Eventually the path started leading down again, and it was quite a steep path. It falls from 1430 metres to 950 metres in just 4 kms passing mostly through woods. I would imagine that it's quite a lot of fun to do it on a bike, but I had made my choice and we were hiking. Very little of interest happened on the way down.
