... my score would have been brilliant if I could have kept the ball on the fairway. Many penalties as the course had plenty of hazards, rough, and bunkers. Great to see Jacqui play well and we will be a great mixed foursome team when back in NZ.
The Frenchies were such great fun to play golf with, to manage a win was sweet as a Gateaux Basque!!!!! LOL.

... 30yr olds walk fast!
I took photo's as Vincent & Jacqui shopped and shopped, nearly filled the trolley. Pascal even got in on the Act eyeing up the Huitres. Shopping done we were off on a tour of the streets past many lovely examples of Basque Architecture back to the flat.

... Much discussion how we came to be here etc from a random encounter in Thailand. Home-made Pizza's, salade of tomatoes, fromage, Axda de Veau & rice, Ice-cream, Champagne, local beer & wine. Talk about spoilt. Their friends Francois & Anais came and the night was brilliant. Both couples speak amazing English. A brilliant end to the day at 12.30 am.

... hike the Tiger Leaping Gorge - just minus the armed military blocking the entry. It is a very pretty landscape up in the hills, lush, thick dairy country. St Jean reminds me of a european version of Li Jiang. It has the water way flowing through the middle, all things hinge off that with the large fortified castle on the hill just next to it. This was one of the main fortifications for the french for the wars with the spanish and it is quite obvious. I went to check in at my ...
