... is clean and brightly lit. There are groups of men who would have travelled to Berlin for last nights game. Even when busy, the station manages crowds very well. A train arrived 15 minutes prior to our set departure. Annette was up getting some tucker for the trip. I didn't think anything of it. Annette arrived on the platform to say that is our train. I haven't moved as fast in three days. We had to find Carriage 5. I was looking, looking, looking ... at the wrong number. Asked one ...

Dresden rest day (0km) - Day 21

... the blog and reading. After lunch we spent a couple of hours walking around Dresden taking photos. Back for afternoon tea and rest. We ducked out quickly at 6pm to pick up train tickets for Sunday (to avoid a very long first day from Bayreuth as there are very few places for us to stay) and supplies.

... just after the opening time of 9am. Quite a number of coaches were already unloading their passengers as we arrived but fortunately we were right behind an english speaking group off the Viking riverboat Clara Schumann (going from Prague to Berlin) so we were tacked onto this group for the workshop tour at 9:15. ... Much of the path today was actually along the river and there are some hills starting to rise on either side of the river making it a river valley. The campsite we stayed at (the one originally planned for) was very nice set in a wooded valley off the road, although it is 4km beyond Meissen which meant that apart from a short walk through the Altstadt to try and find the hotel we have missed the porcelain museum and pictures of the Rathaus and other interesting buildings.
