... privately financed park in all of Germany. We walk through paths throughout the park and we even saw a DEER! The park is filled with old trees, spacious lawns, watercourses, fountains and lakes. It was very romantic. We come up to Lake Emmasee and find our Ruderboots (rowboats) we wanted to rent! They were old school wooden boats that looked idyllic in the water. ... beers from Germany. People were just drinking beer, eating food and enjoying the good weather. (Btw it was 70ish and sunny the whole day!). After a few beers we go back to the hotel for a quick nap break. After our nap we went back to the river bank and hit up some places for a few drinks. ... highlights of our little tour was when we stopped at one of the stalls that was selling candle light covers of various designs. One in particular had a design of sailing ships and lighthouses to which Johanna's mother exclaimed "Urgh, so typisch Norddeutsch"....having experienced as much of Germany as I had, this internal joke reminiscent of England's North-South divide gave me a warm chuckle.

After enjoying a Glühwein ...
