... often blaring music out at full volume. It was quite a sight! After the lake we headed home to freshen up before going to dinner with Günter and Alu in a wonderful traditional German restaurant in Lüdenscheid. It was a lovely last evening, and we had a real laugh. Late in the evening I also received an email saying that I had gotten a job interview in Exeter, which topped off my last proper day in Germany perfectly!

I wonder how this city looked around 100 years ago. With women in nice dresses and men in suits.
I also met Annika, who works on her Master thesis. I was able to help her a little bit with my laptop and we had some nice conversations.

We visited Bens' German Oma whilst here which was lovely, meeting my fourth ever 'Plenge’ and eating way too much cake whilst trying very hard to speak German! Ben fared much better than I did and we spent a great two hours reminiscing and comparing German and English life. ...
