We all split up early this morning so we could go our separate ways. I putzed around the Royal Palace area, sitting beneath that huge phallic national monument while writing out postcards. Eventually, I wandered around a huge local music chain that happened to be showing the same Van Morrison DVD we've been watching at HMV for a couple of weeks....

As this is my last weekend here we took Charlie's boat for a trip around the Amsterdam canals. A few beers, a few jazz woodbines, warm sunshine... We're pootling along nice and mellow when Lucy's 9 year old daughter comes up from below deck with a guilty look on her face. Hey hey...(its Sarah) So, as we headed out of Scandanavia, we ran into a few problems. We had planned to take a bus from Copenhagen to Amsterdam but, of course, the bus company randomly changed it's schedule, so we were forced to take a bus to Hamburg..then hang out there for about 8 hrs til 4:40am...then catch a VERY expensive train to Amsterda...

Amsterdam was fun. Lots of museums and sights. We stayed at the Hostel in Vondelpark. Saw Heineken Museum, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh, Rembrandt's House, Anne Frank House, Narrowest House, Cassa Rosa, Pot Museum, Bulldog, Sex Museum, Madame Toussard's Wax Museum, and much more.
