Hotel Haustein Munich

... When that didn't work, I just started asking people that were standing by the ticket booth if they wanted to buy our ticket and on the 5th try, someone took it!!! Yippee. So that was a long and stressful morning, but it met we had one more day in Munich. Niklas took us downtown with him and showed us a few things around town that we hadn't seen yet. He even bought us ice cream. What nice guy, to spend his weekend helping us out.

After the tour we had some lunch then climbed to the top of St Peters to see the view of the city, walked through the market, visited part of the Residenz Museum, and had yuppie coffee. ... a bit peckish, so I got a Happy Meal. I figured Zoey would enjoy the toy! :) After I ate, the turbulence came back (imagine) and I went to use the restroom. McDonalds has a toilet nazi. It costs 5 crown to use the toilet if you don't have your register receipt! I didn't have one so I fought with her about it and she almost didn't let me in to use the loo ... then I showed her the Happy Meal toy! She let me pass ... and it wasn't a moment too ...

... shopping mall, little cheap shops. I looked everywhere for a new watch but couldn't find one cheap enough. (one guy was selling little plastic ones for A$30!) We made it back to the movie theatre and watched the Simpsons Movie finally! Saturday 4 August Went on the last free walking tour. At least the last one with the New Berlin tour company. This one wasn't as good, I don't know if this is because of the guide or that there just isn't as much to see ...

... on the other side is a big carnival with rollercoasters and rides. James and I arrived at 10:30am, went into a tent and got our first beer, which are served in 1-litre mugs. Each tent has hundreds of tables set up and a stage in the center where a band plays all day and all night. The tents fill up quickly and if you don't get a table early then you are left standing.
