... big Derby game was on Werder-HSV but we couldn't get tickets as it was sold out. Excitedly we realised our hotel had sky Bundesliga so we could watch it in our room! Werder one and the whole town partied for days!!

Going to the airport, we watched the town centre fade into the distance as the tram travelled over the bridge. We rubbed the Town Musician Donkey's legs....it is the lucky thing to do to make sure you return to Bremen again.

It was great after the game to head to Tom and Karo to have nice warm soup and gyros and chips!!! Then a bier at the Shuettinger and a jaunt through the snowy town centre for some photos...then back home, heaters up and under our big fluffy doona!

These are the memories you treasure of travel :)

It fell into disuse in the 19th century but was brought back to prominence in the 1930s by a coffee magnate who encouraged artists to leave their mark in the narrow cobbled alleyways. The result is a free form mix of Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and Gothic art--and was considered degenerate art by the Nazis. Somehow ...
