... extra letters. It has 8 vowels: a, ä, e, i, o, ö, u, ü. There is one more consonant ß, or sharp S. I think the pronunciation would be very difficult for me and Andi says that the grammar is significantly more confusing than English's. (Yes I am aware 'English's is not a real word.)

I've got to say, the highlight of the day was what we did next. We went to the water park side of things, where there are 3 waterslides to try. The first is one where we went in pairs sitting on an inflated tyre and you swirl around the centre up to three times. The next was a ride where you can race a friend. I lost both times. And then there was the 'fast' slide, which doesn't require an inflated tyre to sit on, but instead you look more like a person doing ...

I've been going about a mile a minute since getting here, so getting to settle down and write a quality blog post has been quite a struggle. A lot of cool things have happened over the past few days, so here we go. On Friday, I had the opportunity to visit Kunsthaus Graz, a museum in the middle of the city. It's very interesting how the museum fits into the surrounding area as to me, it looks like a blob that just kind of rests ...

Today was the day. After 2 years of planning it was finally time to head to the airport and say goodbye to my home for about 6 months. Not really sure what I felt making my way to YYC airport, but it was definitely a healthy mix of nerves, "holy sh*t" and "wow, I'm finally on my own." It was a great send off, Saskatoon berry waffles and gingerbread coffee with mom. Unfortunately dad was stuck in Atlanta where two inches of snow has paralyzed the city ...

... 24th) we decided to get dressed up and have a classy evening at a local restaurant and wine bar, Pusswald. The food was beautiful. And the wine was lovely!
