      ... you will find the 101 Airborne "Easy Company" memorial. This is the company celebrated in Band of Brothers. In the field behind the memorial is where so many of that company lost their lives fighting off the Germans. It was somber and moving, but the field was covered in snow and was very beautiful.       We spent the morning exploring Oostende by bicycle. The town
      is extremely neat and clean and really quite a nice place to be. We essentially
      made a circuit that included the beach front and parts of the city. The beach
      is long, wide and sandy and actually reminded me a lot of our beach back home

      I have to tell you all about this amazing initiative that I have seen here - the effort to save the Asian Elephant. There are 54 painted elephants all over the city - all painted in amazing colours by skilled artists with a variety of themes and concepts.
