... nice church though, so it definitely was not a waste. I also had a walk through a park where a marathon was finishing, and just then the weather started to clear up, but only for a short time. At least it was nice for the people celebrating the end of the race.


I ended up going back to the mall I found yesterday to see what was on at the cinema. It seemed like a pretty good way to waste some time on a ****** day ...

... much to write home about. The one high point to add was that after the shocking steak experience in Mendoza we decided to get back on the horse (or cow in this case) and try another steak meal. Luckily our faith in Argentinian steak was restored. Having each ordered the Bife de Chorizo (or sirloin to you and me) we each received around 600g of steak and a large portion of chips. Oh the meat sweats, but it was sooo gooood. Phil and Mups ...

As a bit of a change, I thought I'd share with you a pamphlet I’m going to publish on my return called the "Early Morning Travellers Packing Guide". It’s a simple to use, 25 step guide that I have formulated over the past few months. Sarah and I now follow it religiously:

  1. Check passports are in money belt.
  2. Empty rucksack upside down on to floor into big pile.
  3. Force clothes into vacuum bag and sit ...

... The result of all of the above was me dismounting my beautiful horse at the end of the day with puffy eyes, a rash, multiple mosquito bites (those little ****ers seem to love my blood......even with two layers of bite spray AND cream!!!), and thorns actually still covering the whole of my calf (akin to a hedgehog, only far less cute!!!).....

You would think the above would have ruined the day but it was actually AMAZING!!! My horse was such a star ...
