The trains are all painted in graffiti and several windows were shattered but still intact. All the historical places that can't be locked up have been tagged. The thing that stood out most was our meeting consisting of "in Greece the plumbing systems are old you therefore any toilet paper needs to go in a bin……not the toilet." At this point thinking to ourselves what have we got ourselves into? It was then time to head up to our room, which was massive!! ...
... we were given a "fashion show" of leather jackets made from sheep skin. They were actually very nice and softer than traditional leather however the prices were through the roof - 700-800 euro was a discounted price for a jacket! Following this we shopped in the Grand Baazar for apple tea and Turkish Delight which was far more affordable at 2 euro. We passed our second cruising day away having two for the price of one cocktails and reading books around the pool as we docked ...
... city. Overall very impressive, very old ruins! After this we headed off to lunch. We had the usual Greek salad and lamb souvlaki which was delicious and then it was back on the bus again. We had a quick stop on the way back to Athens at a pottery place which was actually really cool. Watching the guy make the vase from scratch was awesome and he was pretty happy with himself posing for photos! I bought some traditional Greek earrings here and a justice cup that was designed ...
