... 11.48, so if you do the same thing it might be safer to dawdle and go to a lookout or two, and take a better look around Assmannhausen, and then get this later train.

No hiccups on the train travel today. The first train carried on along the north bank of the Rhine and then crossed over to Koblenz. We decided to give the InterCity train a miss and go on the more reliable Regional trains even though we had to change trains at Koeln ...

... hoping to leave by 10.....maybeeee...... Didn't happen. Air conditioning problems that the mechanics had to repair. We did finally make it on the plane, but then we had to sit on the runway while security responded to an airplane with e problem. No planes were permitted to take off or land during this situation! This morning berthed at the side of the Rhine close to Cologne Cathedral. Had a look round it and then just wandered about the streets. Off to lunch now. While we are at lunch the boat is having to move to the other bank of the river. From there we are getting a city tour. Not much view through our porthole at our morning berth. Lol.
