I have just returned from an amazing trip to Tsushima, Japan. Tsushima is a small fishing island in the southern Japan, with only 30,000 inhabitants. I went with a group of nearly 40 people from all over the world- Americans, Koreans, Japanese, Pakistanis, Egyptians, etc. The journey began as we departed Seoul for Busan, in the South of Korea, and then boarded a ferry to make the journey across the sea.
We arrived on the southern part of the island in time for ...

I spent Friday mooching around Nagoya, in particularly the nightlife area around Sakae. The weather was dismal but for once this made me feel happy as it provided the perfect excuse for some karaoke action! This 121-foot tall and 33-foot in trunk circumference gingko tree is 1200 years old.Its leavesis still not turned into yellow yet. Turns out she studied English at language school in Vancouver for three years and loves learning English. She had also visited Hawaii two years ago and really enjoyed it. She was very pretty and nice and showed my family her favorite place to eat dinner (apparantly, the restaurant we were waiting to open wasn't that great). It had a nice view of the ocean (and a ...

... we sat a bit, and then I decided to try some of the Meiji chocolate I had bought. Meiji is a very good brand of candy in Japan. It is especially well known for its chocolate. I shared about half of it with some of the people with our tour group. I don't eat chocolate usually, so I figured sharing it wouldn't be bad, since I also don't like to eat a lot of it either. After that, I hopped onto my laptop and started typing away at this entry. It's time to board now though! Hasta pasta!

... one foot to the other) and throw salt (to purify the mound against the evil charms of women). Just when you think something's going to happen, they stand up and start the intimidation rituals all over again. When they actually get into the wrestling, it lasts about 5 seconds and then it's all over - single elimination style. As this is going on, boys are walking up and down the aisles selling beer and bento boxes. It's great. We got the really cheap seats (bleachers), but most of the ...
