... was doing a roaring trade with packaged 1kg rounds of Gouda. Not sure if we can take cheese into NZ. Most of the windmills were working, one crushed stuff to make dyes/pigments, another crushed peanut shells to make oil and another was a sawmill. I think they were for show. It was interesting watching the mills at work. I've seen the grinding stones but never in action. You certainly wouldn't want to get your fingers caught underneath them! The windmill ...

Had an amazing sleep last night and woke up fresh and ready for the day! We decided to do some touristy things today and first up was the Heineken factory. ... fish, clothes, jewellery, cheese, fabrics and so on. Couldn't resist, we had Dutch pancakes! Mmm so so good! We walked out to the museums to only look from the outside (we have had enough of museums for now), beautiful grassed area with a water feature that lead us to the famous Amsterdam letters that hundreds of tourists climb on daily.
