... dad decided to go up to the manager and pretend that we had reservations and that they had lost them! It worked actually! (LOL). We ended up hanging out at the bar for about an hour, where we had drinks (I had sparkling Rosé, while dad mom and Mimi had Heineken ice cold) and then were seated! ... it definitely takes more than 2 eyes at times to cross safely. But as we crossed bridges over canals, and saw the traditional houses from the 16th and 17th centuries, it felt more like the Holland we have been experiencing in Haarlem.
