Hotel Hafen Hamburg Classic & Residenz

Hamburg wasn't the most interesting city. My friend and classmate, Maggie, kept saying that if she was dropped in the middle of Hamburg, she would think she could be anywhere in the world... maybe even OHIO. We went on a walking tour our first day there, and it wasn't very stimulating besides two factors: our tour guide looked like PACKA BUCKY (Mandy will understand) and we got to see the parking garage that James Bond drove ...

... full of vegetation. I really do love the country side in the countries I have been to. I was much surprised about the ferry ride that was also a part of this train trip. First we crossed this awesome bridge and then we actually pulled onto a boat. The train tracks went straight on the boat and after it stopped we all got out and went top side for a 45 min ride across the channel. This was a pretty cool surprise. It was my third boat trip of my travels.

Traveled to Hamburg today and saw some amazing things. Left TU at7:30 for the 3 hrs bus ride.Traffic on the Autobahn. Saw some countryside, woods and farmland. It is very foggy here in the morning. Got to Hamburg and toured St. Michael's Kirche in the city. Walked the 300+ stairs up to the bell tower and got a fantastic view of the city!! It is salty licorice and tastes ****... can't imagine the vodka flavoured with it tastes too good either...<br><br>Checked into A&amp;O Hostel near Hamburg Hauptbahnhof and then went for a walk around the main drag near the Hbf. Hamburg is nice to walk around at night as it's not too busy, but not dead quiet either.<br>The Rathaus is an awesome building. Sounds like it is should eba rock club for 80's metal bands playing Motley Crue, Bon Jovi and Poison ...

... I go it is still a novelty to be able to drink outside. This night also was not a late one since I had a train in the morning and the Aussies were flying to Helsinki early as well. <br><br>In conclusion, I had a great time in Hamburg. Not necessarily because it is a great city, but because I met some cool people. And now I have a place to stay in Berlin as well as Sydney. <br><br>Thumbs up, Hamburg. Can&#8217;t wait till Berlin.
